Dear Brother's and Sisters,
This weekend (starting on Saturday and all day Sunday) is a new moon
day and is also one of the most inauspicious days of the year as per
the lunar calendar. Shri Mataji would plan for all the pujas of the year
with a great level of attention to these kinds of details. As such she
would never have allowed the performance of a puja on such a day, let
alone the worship of the auspicious principles of Shri Ganesha. In
reality, we should not be having a puja during this weekend.
We apologize for the confusion as many collectives around the world
are trying to adapt to this new reality. The problem is due to
a miscalculation of the lunar calendar at the beginning of the year when
the Puja dates were determined.
With that in mind we decided to change the date of the Puja and
having it on the following weekend as per the invitation below.
Considering that this seem very disruptive, although spiritually the
right thing to do, we hope that this small inconvenience do not eclipse
the auspiciousness of this sacred event .
