Invitation to the International Shri Buddha Puja (2012)

With the blessings of our Divine Mother and our hearts overflowing with joy, the hosting countries in Asia have great honour and privilege to invite all the Sahaja Yogis of the World to join us on this auspicious occasion in celebrating Shri Buddha Puja at Penang Island, a world heritage city in Malaysia, from 26th to 29th April, 2012.

In a time when we all need to introspect to brace the future, we, your brothers and sisters in Asia, strongly desire that as many Sahaj brothers and sisters as possible from all over the world will grace this occasion with their auspicious presence. We pray that the world’s Agnya would be purified and enlightened for us to continue with the work our Divine Mother envisaged us to deliver to mankind.

Exciting highlights are being planned in addition to the main puja event which include; a beach havan, short seminars, music and treatment workshops, a Yuva seminar, international music and drama nights as well as some activities for children. Apart from this, as you might know, Malaysia is well-known for her enchanting beaches, tropical forests, historical sites and shopping.

International Sahaja Yoga Seminar in the Netherlands, Feb 24 � 26 Dear Brothers and Sisters, On the 23rd February the entire global Sahaj family will commemorate the Mahasamadhi of Shri Mataji. As has been said, this will be a time which will rekindle in us the desire for strengthening our inner growth. It will also be a time in which, as children of the same Mother, we want to be together to share the Love She has given us. It is in this mood that the Sahaja Yogis of Belgium and Holland are inviting you for an international seminar in the weekend after the 23rd, from the 24th to 26th of February. You are heartily invited to join us for a weekend filled with devotion, worship, and Sahaj joy. The seminar takes place near Eindhoven in Holland. Puja in Cabella 23rd February

Dear brother/sister,

As February 23rd approaches we, the Italian Collective and the World Foundation, would like to invite you to join us in Cabella to pay homage to our Divine Mother and to express our gratitude for Her all-encompassing vision and heritage of eternal, pure love.

On this occasion we offer a humble prayer at the Lotus Feet of Our Mother.

“May our hearts be filled with Your perfume and the lightness of the petals that we offer at Your Feet.

May You protect and guide us as we carry forward the work of Sahaja Yoga, spreading Your message of pure transformation and hope for humanity.

May the integrity of Your divine teachings remain alive and intact within us.
May we sing Your glory that You might orchestrate the melody of love playing in our hearts.
May Your infinite compassion raise our awareness and cleanse our beings so that we become humble, pure instruments of the Paramchaitanya.”

Please join us in Cabella on Thursday, 23rd February at 16:00 (CET) to celebrate a puja, to sing some bhajans and to meditate together. If possible we will connect via web with a parallel event in Nirmal Dham in Delhi. We also plan to organise a small concert.

If you would like to share this moment with us please register on line so that we can plan for your stay. We will provide dinner in the evening and, for those that sleep over, breakfast in the morning. Accommodation is available in the hangar, which will be duly heated. The bathrooms will also be heated and have hot water. It is a mild winter so we do not expect it to be too cold outside. Nevertheless, you should wrap up warmly and bring a good sleeping bag if you plan to stay the night, when temperatures can go below zero.

Fundraising Appeal: Help us Finish the Cabella School

On behalf of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga World Foundation we would like to express our heartfelt thanks for all the support we have received from the world collective in a year which, for everyone has been a very difficult one. The deep love for our beloved Mother that binds us together is also a source of strength that gives us the determination to double our efforts for the advancement of Sahaja Yoga in the world.

In this regard the World Foundation gives primary importance to the following areas:

• The Cabella School
• Cabella as a place of pilgrimage
• The preservation and distribution of Shri Mataji’s talks

To improve efficiency, management of the preservation and distribution process has been handed back to NIPC. Nevertheless, the Foundation continues to recognize the crucial importance of this project and has committed to supporting it financially in the start-up phase. A few weeks ago you received a message from Nirmala Vidya llc, the company set up by NIPC to do this job, asking for your support. We heartily encourage you to do so. The development of Cabella as a place of pilgrimage involves not just improvements to the receptive capacity of the Foundation but also the conservation and restoration of Palazzo Doria as a holy place of worship of Shri Mataji. A team of talented and enthusiastic Sahaja Yogis have been asked to consult with the international collective in 2012 and to develop a project that will do justice to one of the most sacred places on earth. In time for 2013, we hope to be able to illustrate the proposals to everyone.

At the operational level, therefore, the main efforts of the Foundation in 2012 will focus on development plans for the Cabella School. In order to accommodate the new intake of 20 students in September 2012, the top two floors of the new school building need to be renovated, as the school is currently operating at absolute capacity. Our long-term goal is to increase capacity from the 70 students presently studying at the school to 150 students divided between the six classes of the international primary school cycle. Christmas Concert in Vienna by Sahaja Yogis

Occupy the Sahasrara @ The Bank of Ideas, London

On Thursday the 29^th of December 2011, a team of a dozen yogis presented a Sahaja Yoga meditation programme at ‘The Bank of Ideas’. The ‘Bank of Ideas’ is a large building located in central London, and one of the current bases of citizens protesting against social and economic injustice. It is part of the global Occupy Movement. By Shri Mataji’s grace, the programme went well.  

Among the people there, we found much interest in meditation and spirituality. We spoke to them about the potential for an ‘inner revolution’, in order to truly ‘become the change they wanted to see in the world’. Photos and a short summary of the event can be found here (try to see it in Picasa rather than Google Plus, it’s better like that. There is an option at the top of the screen).

During the course of 2011, remarkable and unprecedented events took place on the global scene: Huge numbers of people from many different walks of life joined in a single aim, and rose up in strong, determined protest against growing social and economic injustices, and the policies that support them. The ongoing ‘Occupy’ Movement has manifested in over 80 countries, including the most developed western nations, and is to a great extent peaceful, conscious protest of an urgent nature against our self-destructive trends.  

On November the 18^th, Occupy London legally took over a disused, empty building belonging to the Swiss investment bank UBS. They renamed it ‘The Bank of Ideas’, and in an interview with the Guardian newspaper, spoke of their desire to use it for the purpose of various community events, including dance, comedy, music, yoga, philosophy and spirituality. They soon had their own website, which even provided the opportunity to submit proposals for new events.

They immediately accepted our proposal to conduct a meditation event. “It sounds great… Can't wait to see it,” they replied, adding “A lot of people here are interested in meditation.” They posted our Sahaja Yoga meditation event on their website, on their Facebook page and printed out A4 copies of our poster, which they placed in their reception area. We were told our event would take place in Room 1.08.   

From the moment we arrived, we felt that we were in a special place, and among special people. These were courageous individuals engaged in a monumental effort; a peaceful struggle to achieve deep social and economic transformation. They wanted a fairer society, and we could see that they were striving, through inner and outer challenges, to become that new society.

After our meditation programme, we were shown to a room at the very top of the building, accessed by crossing over the roof terrace. They had set it aside as their Meditation Room! Later on, one of the occupiers would state: “It would be great to have regular meditation events as a small group of us try to do it daily, but inevitably life gets in the way and we don't manage”…

Tenerife seminar, 10-12 February 2012

The collective of Tenerife, Spain is inviting all yogis to their next seminar to be held in Tenerife on 10-12 February 2012.

The seminar will be held in the Anaga Inn, situated in the Anaga Rural Park, a marvelous area in the northeast of the island. The places are limited to 40, so please express your interest to attend as soon as possible.

The price is still unconfirmed (as we are renting the whole place, the price will depend on the number of participants), but in last year's seminar, it was around 75 euros (accommodation and meals). It will probably be similar this year. We will confirm the price after the booking will be complete.

For yogis willing to spend more days in Tenerife, we have also got our collective house, "Casa de Madre" where we can accommodate you. It is situated in the town of Puerto de la Cruz, near the beach and the centre, with excellent climate throughout the year. We could organize activities such as trips, street Realization, going to the beach etc.
