Shri Mataji's samadhi

I am an Australian Yogini living in Muscat, Oman and wanted to share my experience in Delhi with you.

After watching the European yogies (via internet) offering flowers to our Mother in Cabella, my heart had this longing to go to Mother in Delhi . I felt like there was a string pulling at my heart, and all logic, rhyme and reason to stay (work, school etc) was left behind as the pull strengthened and my longing increased.

All worked out and my daughter and I flew into Delhi arriving in the evening and went straight to Nirmal Dham to offer flowers at Shri Mataji's lotus feet. It was almost midnight and it was quiet there, as we offered  flowers and rose petals to our divine Mother. We then sat there and meditated, whilst beautiful music was  played and felt that we had almost walked into heaven; the flowers, the scent, the music, the cool night air.

The next morning, we went back to Nirmal Dham and knew that we had until 12.30 to be with our divine Mother. We again offered flowers and sat in meditation. There were many more yogies this time, offering flowers and meditating together to such beautiful music. There was a feeling of gratitude to our Mother and her presence was felt so strongly in the silence and the peace that pervaded. We wanted to stay until what we thought was going to be the last minute as they had been announcing earlier that at 12.30, everyone was to leave. Then as it got close to this time, it was announced that everyone must stop moving around as the Samadhi was to begin. We realised with such reverence that we, amongst all the other yogies also there, were going to be there for the ceremony.

Shri Mataji's sister arrived and looked so much like Mother, then Sir CP with Kalpana and Sadhana Did, Shri Mataji's brother and other family members all sharing their wife, mother, sister and grandmother with the yogies. Many of the speeches were in Hindi, but when Sir CP spoke, you could tell that he was speaking  about Sahaja Yoga as he was passionately naming all the countries of the world that had Sahaja Yoga. Chris Kyriacou spoke beautifully about Shri Mataji being the Adi Shakti and the gift of realisation that she had given to all of us that other incarnations hadn't been able to do. He spoke of her many disciples, the Sahja yogies and how we would carry on all she had started. He spoke with such love and devotion as a Sahaja Yogi and thanked Mother's family for sharing her with all the yogies and supporting her desire for Sahaja Yoga to spread throughout the world.

After the speeches, the Puja began and it was lovely to see Mahdavi (Sydney yogini) with another Indian yogini performing the Puja. All our beautiful puja songs were sung within the reverence, the love and the solemnity of the occasion. I could almost imagine the deities surrounding us and the heavens open for this time, so momentous in the history of our mankind.

Vishwavandita was sung and I felt the history of the first time I had ever sang this song in a Puja to Mother to this moment now, pass by in the fleeting of a moment. At times I felt tears springing from my eyes in gratitude for all Mother has done for us and that this was the end of an era. But her presence was so strongly felt and around and within us that we could feel that she was with us more than ever, guiding us and within us as we entered into the new era.

Mother Earth then reached for Mother's physical body and the yogies placed her there, where we shall  forever be able to feel her vibrations and know that we have all beared witness to the Adi Shakti coming onto the earth to save her children.

I hope I have taken you to Delhi with me in words,

love Jennifer
